5 Ways To Avoid A Hangover!

a-hangover-female-with-alcohol-bottles1Avoid a hangover is what everybody wants for the holiday’s!

Avoid A hangover by not:
-Drinking Red wine in excess.  Even though red wine is beneficial to your health it also contains more congeners than white wine.
Red Wine also contains a chemical called tyramine which has been known to cause headaches.
-Mixing different types of alcohol because your body takes a longer process to recognize and metablize each individual type.
-Drinking Cheap Liquors because more expensive liquors have a more thorough distillation process which removes the congeners.
-Drinking Carbonated Drinks like soda and sparkling wines.  Carbonated drinks will speed up absorbtion of alcohol.
-Drinking Sweet Drinks such as pina coladas, margaritas, and exotic drinks.  The sweet flavors disgise the taste of the alcohol which
causes you not to really know what your consuming.

We hope these 5 ways will help you avoid a hangover.

Best Hangover Food?

hangover-food-hamburgerEveryone has the best hangover food for themselves.  Some people swear on energy drinks, healthy foods like miso soup and others swear on fried and fatty foods.

So what hangover foods really work?  The answer is, “it depends!”  Some people say the energy drinks work because of some of the ingreidents like taurine.  While others say the energy drinks will only help for a while and then you crash!

The best strategy is to eat the proper hangover food before drinking.  Foods that contain nutrients/vitamins which help with hangovers.  After drinking you should do the same thing.  Grapefruit is great for breakfast after drinking because it contains B vitamins.  Always make sure you drink enough water before and after you drink.

British researchers found that eating concentrated doses of carbohydrates and protein after some “over indulgence” can speed up your metabolism and provide the amino acids needed to start feeling better.   This is probably why taurine works so well.

Hangover food does work, you just have to know what to eat!
