Cheers Restore Side Effects

While there are no side effects indicated, we did find some customer reports (on Amazon) of restlessness or sleeping issues.

In the research available, it appears that specific B vitamins could be causing that side effect in some people. B6 and B12 show these findings.

B Vitamins Correlated With Sleeping Issues:

  • Vitamin B6 - Insomnia and lower sleep quality was found from intake of vitamin B6.[⁶][⁷] Cheers contains 1176% of the recommended daily value.
  • Vitamin B12 - Studies have proved that elevated B12 levels can cause sleeplessness.[⁶] Cheers contains 4167% of the recommended daily value.

This is not absolute proof, but based on the evidence it definitely appears that these two vitamins (B6 & B12) in high amounts could cause restlessness or sleeping issues.

Synthetic Vitamins Warning

In reviewing the Cheers formula, we identified four vitamins that appear to be synthetic.

Synthetic vitamins include:

  • Vitamin C (as synthetic ascorbic acid)

  • Thiamin B1 (as synthetic thiamin HCl)

  • Vitamin B6 (as synthetic pyridoxine HCl)

  • Vitamin B12 (as synthetic cyanocobalamin)

Synthetic vitamins, versus natural vitamins, are often considered to be inferior and sometimes less effective.⁸

Reasons why synthetic vitamins can be bad:

  • Synthetic vitamins are different to the natural way plants create them and can react differently in the body.⁸
  • Co-factors and enzymes can be missing in synthetic vitamins.⁸
  • Synthetic vitamins can be harder for the body to absorb or less bioavailable.⁹
  • Some vitamins, such as B12 cyanocobalamin, are actually derived from toxic materials (cyanide).¹⁰

For these reasons, we believing in usually natural vitamins and avoiding synthetic ones.

Vine Tea (DHM) Warning

With Cheers using Vine Tea for DHM, there's a few concerns to be aware of.

Vine Tea is a different source of DHM than Hovenia Dulcis (Japanese Raisin), and typically sourced from China.

1. Different Than Studies

Most studies are done on Hovenia Dulcis (Japanese Raisin) or extractions of it. While Vine Tea contains the DHM flavonoid, the research is less available to prove its efficacy versus Hovenia Dulcis.

2. Made In China

We aren't claiming Cheers derives Vine Tea in China, although we know through our sources that most Vine Tea comes out of China. Some nutraceutical-grade ingredients come from China, but extra caution needs to be taken from Chinese suppliers as they don't have the same regulations as the US.

In our belief, Hovenia Dulcis is far superior for liver aid and the best source of DHM based on the research available.

Cheers vs Zaca

We reviewed Cheers in comparison to our Zaca chewables.

For liver support, we conclude Zaca has an easier-to-use, cleaner ingredient, and faster solution.

First, being a berry-flavored chewable, you can take Zaca easy anytime you need it. Also as a chewable, it's fast-acting compared to pills. Lastly, at Zaca we don't use any synthetic vitamins and derive our liver aid from Hovenia Duclis rather than Vine Tea.

Without synthetic nutrients, many experts would confirm Zaca is a more bioavailable supplement.
